You can vote without an account. To do that we set one cookie holding a random, opaque identifier. It contains no name, no email, and no address — it exists so that the same browser cannot vote twice on the same battle, and so your results are still there when you come back.

The battle, which side you chose, which side it was rendered on, roughly how long the decision took, a coarse device type, and a country code where the network provides one. That is used for abuse detection and for the aggregate breakdowns founders see.

Your IP address is not stored. It is hashed with a secret and a salt that changes daily, which lets us spot a burst of automated traffic within a day and does not let us build any longer-term identifier.

Founders see aggregates only: totals, percentages, trends, and country and device splits. Small groups are combined into “Other” before anything is shown, so a breakdown cannot be narrowed down to one person. No founder can see who voted, or how any individual voted.

An account is only needed to submit a product or run a battle. Sign-in uses an emailed link or Google. We do not store passwords, because there are none.

Product analytics are first-party and stored on our own database. There is no third-party tracking pixel. Event properties are filtered before writing, so personal data cannot end up there by accident.

Clearing your cookies ends the anonymous session. For an account, or for a product profile, use the report link on the relevant page and ask — a person handles it.
