One battle impression = your battle being shown to one eligible voter. It does not mean that person voted, or clicked through to your site. Impressions are a shared pool across every battle on your account — Starter's 2,500 is 2,500 in total, not 2,500 for each battle.

What is an impression?

What an impression isOne impression is your battle being shown once, to one voter, in the PITCH FIGHT feed.
An impression is not a voteSomeone shown your battle may vote, or may skip it. Which they do is up to them — that is the part that makes the result worth having.
Sharing your link is freeYour battle has a public page you can post anywhere. Visits through that link cost you nothing and never touch your impression allowance.

Paying for impressions increases how often your battle is shown. It does not buy votes, guarantee a win, or influence how anyone votes.

Free and paid, side by side

FreeYour first look at how people respond
  • One battle, per founder.
  • A free impression allowance for it, shown on the Free card.
  • The vote result and your basic battle statistics.
  • A public battle page you can share anywhere, for as long as you like.
When the free allowance is used up, your battle stays public, keeps its results, and stays shareable — nothing is taken away and nothing is hidden behind a paywall. What stops is active distribution in the feed: battles with allowance left go first, and yours is only used to fill a slot nothing else can fill.
PaidMore of the same voters, and more to learn from them
  • A larger impression allowance — the figure on each card above, shared across every battle on your account.
  • One plan covers all your battles for 30 days — including ones you create afterwards. Nothing renews automatically.
  • More than one battle running at a time, while the plan is active.
  • The analytics each plan lists in the table below — who responded, on what, and from where.
What does not change: how anyone votes, how the result is calculated, or where you sit on a leaderboard.

Common questions

What am I paying for?You are paying for PitchFight to show your battles to more eligible visitors. You are not buying votes, a result, or a ranking.
What is a battle impression? One impression is your battle being shown to one eligible voter. It is not a vote and not a click — those are up to the person seeing it.
What does the free plan include? One battle, with a free allowance of impressions to get it in front of voters. You get the vote result, basic statistics, and a public page you can share anywhere. Running a second battle at the same time needs a plan.
Does a plan cover all of my battles?Yes. One plan covers your whole account for 30 days, including battles you create after buying it. The impressions are a shared pool across all of them — Starter is 2,500 in total, not 2,500 per battle.
Does it renew automatically? No. A plan lasts 30 days and then stops. You are never charged again without choosing to buy again.
Does a higher plan guarantee more votes? No. A higher plan increases how often your battle is shown. Whether someone votes, which startup they pick, and whether they visit your site is entirely up to them.
Can paying improve my leaderboard rank? No. Rankings are computed from votes alone. Nothing in the ranking code can read a package, a payment, or a price.
What if my battle views are not delivered straight away?Your campaign keeps delivering as PitchFight traffic arrives. Nothing expires, and you are never charged again for views that are still owed to you.
What happens when my battle views run out, or the 30 days end?Your battles stay public, keep their results, and stay shareable — the link you sent people keeps working, and visits through it were never counted against your allowance anyway. What stops is active distribution in the PitchFight feed: battles with allowance left are shown first, and yours is only used to fill a slot nothing else can fill.

What a plan does and does not do

It changesHow often your battle is shown to relevant voters, and how much you learn back about the people who responded.
It never changesHow anyone votes, how the result is calculated, where you sit on a leaderboard, or how your battle card looks beside your competitor's.

This is structural rather than a promise: campaign and payment records have no connection to the tables holding votes and rankings. How ranking works

One battle impression = your battle being shown to one eligible voter who passed our integrity checks. Impressions are shared across every battle on your account. A paid plan covers the whole account for 30 days and does not renew itself. Plans buy exposure and analysis — never votes, rankings or results. Votes, clicks, customers and positive outcomes are not guaranteed.
